Courtyard by Marriott enters Saudi Arabia

Marriott International Inc. has announced the opening of the Courtyard Riyadh Diplomatic Quarter. Courtyard by Marriott, the world’s 11th largest hotel brand, already has a strong footprint in the region with properties in Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait.

The new hotel appeals to travellers looking for a location close to the Diplomatic Quarter.

The Courtyard Riyadh Diplomatic Quarter boasts 286 guest rooms offering smart designs, with the key features including ample work space, multiple outlets for easy plug in capabilities, and high-speed Internet connection that makes the hotel ideal for business travelers to stay connected. Other in-room amenities include LCD flat screen TVs and deluxe beddings.

The property’s business center, located at the lobby level, is said to provide all "away from the office" needs for guests to stay productive while on the road, including faxing, photocopying, binding, laminations, print-outs, stationery and Internet service.

The Courtyard Riyadh Diplomatic Quarter also boasts of the Galaxy Restaurant. Other features include: temperature controlled indoor swimming pool, Jacuzzi and 24-hour accessible fitness center with modern cardio and strength equipment.

Marriott International Inc. is based in Bethesda, Maryland in the US. It has over 3,800 properties in 74 countries and territories, and reported revenues of nearly $12 billion in fiscal year 2012. The company operates and franchises hotels and licenses vacation ownership resorts under 18 brands.

Courtyard by Marriott has more than 900 locations in 38 countries and territories.
