Courtyard Cleveland University Circle showcases new lobby environment

Courtyard by Marriott is rolling out its new lobby and room design in Cleveland with the newest Courtyard in the area offering the “Refreshing Business” lobby environment. The property has media pods, Wi-Fi and a variety of seating zones for pop-up meetings and social gatherings.

The 153-room Courtyard Cleveland University Circle also offers a room design. Each room has plush bedding, a functional work space, larger bathrooms, a separate seating area and complimentary in-room high-speed Internet.

Located at 2021 Cornell Road, the Courtyard Cleveland University Circle will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned by the Snavely Group of Chagrin Falls, Ohio and managed by Concord Hospitality of Raleigh, N.C. The Courtyard Cleveland University Circle is within walking distance to University Hospital and Case Western Reserve University, and offers guests convenient access to Cleveland Museum of Art, Cleveland Botanical Gardens and Cleveland Museum of Natural History.

The Courtyard hotel lobby welcomes guests with contrasting colors, including blue, green, orange and red. The front desk is replaced with separate welcome pedestals to create more personal and private interactions when guests check in and allow staff to show guests the lobby features and provide assistance. Flexible seating options range from a communal table in the middle of the action, to more private media booths with HDTVs, to a semi-enclosed lounge area.

Dining has also been completely redesigned with The Bistro – Eat. Drink. Connect., offering flexible seating. The Market, a 24/7 shop for snacks, beverages and sundries, is also open.

Another component of the Courtyard lobby is the newly enhanced GoBoard 4.0, which presents local information, maps, weather and headline news on a 55-inch LCD touch screen. This includes mobile integration, enabling guests to send directions from the GoBoard directly to their smart phones. Guests can also touch the screen for immediate access to flight information for local airports, entertainment and local event information, as well as walking directions.

Throughout the hotel, guests can connect to complimentary Wi-Fi, and there are numerous electrical outlets in the lobby to power digital devices. The business library features computer terminals, along with a printer and separate computer stations dedicated solely to printing airline boarding passes and checking flight status.

The eight-story hotel has an indoor swimming pool, fitness center, guest laundry and an indoor/outdoor fireplace. The hotel also has three meetings rooms with 1,574 square feet of space to accommodate functions of up to 125 people.

Courtyard by Marriott is present in more than 900 locations in 38 countries and territories.
