Courtyard Oklahoma City Downtown renovated

The Courtyard by Marriott Oklahoma City Downtown, adjacent to historic Bricktown, completed the first phase of its more than $2-million renovation, which included an overhaul of its guestrooms and meeting and convention space. The 225-room/suite property is located steps from Chesapeake Energy Arena.

Courtyard Oklahoma City Downtown is owned and operated by Springfield-based John Q. Hammons Hotels & Resorts.

All of the Courtyard Oklahoma City Downtown’s guest rooms/suites now feature new carpet, furnishings and fixtures in a contemporary motif. Guests are welcomed by a more inviting color palette of crimson, gold and earth tones. In-room amenities include: 37 inch LCD HDTVs, Serta Perfect Sleeper bedding designed specifically for Marriott and the white linen Revive Collection.

In addition, and to specifically target the MICE industry, part of the hotel’s 5,000 square feet of meeting and convention space received cosmetic changes.

The phase one facelift included more than 93,000 square feet of recycled wall vinyl. In addition, more than 1,000 used guestroom furniture items were donated to the local area to be repurposed.

The eight-floor hotel plans to kick off phase two of its progressive makeover in August.

In late summer 2013, the Courtyard Oklahoma City Downtown is slated to begin phase two of its extensive renovation of common areas, select meeting space, and fitness center. Located at 2 West Reno Avenue next to Downtown Oklahoma City’s Entertainment District, the Courtyard by Marriott Oklahoma City Downtown offers 5,000 square feet/eight meeting rooms of space for functions from board room meetings to black-tie affairs.

Dining venues include: the Courtyard Grille; and The Market. Other amenities include: a business center; indoor heated swimming pool and whirlpool; and fitness center.
