Located along Santa Barbara's American Riviera shoreline, The Fess Parker, a DoubleTree by Hilton Resort has announced that it is kicking off 2014 with an interior renovation of its 360 guestrooms as a salute to its founder, Fess Parker, who first graced the studios of 20th Century Fox 50 years ago.
Known as one of Santa Barbara's most prominent beachfront resorts, the 24-acre, AAA Four Diamond beachfront resort’s renovation is said to be inspired by its fluid architecture and Spanish Colonial flair.
Los Angeles-based Design Group Carl Ross Inc. was tapped to put a residential-style design spin on all 360 guestrooms and suites, including the Fess Parker Suite with its triad of ocean views. The new interiors fuse Santa Barbara's signature design style with a modern twist pulling on Spanish tile patterns and textured materials in an earth-tone palette of sand, grey and clove. All soft goods were custom made, including the upholstered furniture, carpet, wall coverings and fixtures.
Set on 24 acres overlooking the Pacific, The Fess Parker, a DoubleTree by Hilton Resort offers 338 guestrooms and 22 suites with patio or balcony views, a full-service spa, Rodney's Grill, and 45,000 square feet of event space. Opened in 1986 by Parker, the property is set in a Mediterranean footprint with vaulted ceilings, courtyards, gardens and seven mission-style guestroom buildings. Santa Barbara is located 95 miles/153 kilometers north of Los Angeles and 315 miles/507 kilometers south of San Francisco.
