Distinctive design: Screen by Effeti USA

Introducing Screen, an open kitchen system designed by Rome architect Filippo Bombace for Effeti USA. Screen is a customizable stand-alone unit whose dimensions and cabinetry—including height, length, materials and finishes—can be specified according to the users’ preferences. The kitchen gets its name from its distinctive design function, wherein the screen acts as a space divider in a way that still maintains visual and physical connections between kitchen and dining areas. This enables the chef to interact with guests while also maintaining a private cooking and prep area. Other features of Screen are its integrated slot formed by the negative detail below the edge, which doubles as a door-pull for cabinets and drawers; and the rear, which offers a wood backdrop and a ledge for display objects. Screen comes in a wide variety of matte or gloss finishes (including bold colors like red and lilac), as well as wood veneers.
