DoubleTree by Hilton Cairns to open Q4 2014 in Australia

DoubleTree by Hilton and Hilton Worldwide announced the signing of the 237-room DoubleTree by Hilton Cairns. Located at 121 The Esplanade, the have will enjoy a waterfront location. Formerly the Holiday Inn Cairns, it will join Hilton Worldwide’s Australasian portfolio of 21 hotels in the fourth quarter of 2014.

Hilton Worldwide earlier launched three DoubleTree by Hilton properties in the Northern Territory in 2013.

DoubleTree by Hilton Cairns will join Hilton Worldwide’s Hilton Cairns hotel. DoubleTree by Hilton has 380 properties in 33 countries and territories. Along with DoubleTree by Hilton’s three existing Australian properties in Darwin and Alice Springs, two new DoubleTree by Hilton Hotels in Western Australia have been announced in Perth and Fremantle.

Among the amenities that guests will enjoy in the property include: an array of CITRON body care products by Crabtree & Evelyn, 24-hour business and fitness centers, outdoor swimming pools, a range of food and drink offerings and complimentary Internet access in public areas.

The seven-story DoubleTree by Hilton Cairns will feature: waterfront location at 121 The Esplanade; 237 guestrooms including suites; city, mountain or water views; open air rainforest garden with barramundi pond; outdoor swimming pool; complimentary Health Club; lobby restaurant and lobby bar; meeting capacity for up to 160 theater style; refurbished meeting and event space; and 24-hour business center.
