DoubleTree by Hilton Grand Rapids Airport opens in Michigan after $2.5M renovation

DoubleTree by Hilton has announced the opening of DoubleTree by Hilton Grand Rapids Airport following a $2.5 million renovation that included a complete property-wide transformation.

The 226-room DoubleTree by Hilton Grand Rapids Airport debuted a new open concept lobby, contemporary guestroom updates, revamped meeting spaces, renovated indoor pool area, and brand-new restaurant concept centered on locally-sourced food and beverage menus.

Standard guest rooms feature either two double or one king-sized bed, individually controlled heat and air conditioning, satellite television and PPV movies, easy chair and business desk. All guest rooms feature complementary wireless Internet access and video games on every television set; dual phone lines on all guest room phones; and fax and copy services available through the front desk.

Meanwhile, the upscale one bedroom king suites include a living area with a dining table that seats six. Luxurious French doors open into a sleeping area with a king-sized bed, an adjoining whirlpool tub, and stand alone rain shower. Also available is a granite kitchen area, and three flat-screen televisions.

In addition to an updated and contemporary new design, the hotel debuted a brand new all-day dining restaurant - Ganders.

The hotel also offers more than 7,500 square feet of meeting space, including 10 flexible meeting rooms and one ballroom.

DoubleTree by Hilton Grand Rapids Airport, which converted from the Hilton brand, is owned by AWH Partners and managed by Spire Hospitality.

DoubleTree by Hilton Grand Rapids Airport is located at 4747 28th Street SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49512. Located two miles from Gerald R. Ford International Airport and one mile from I-96, the hotel is situated near local destinations and attractions, including the Frederik Meijer Gardens, Woodland Centerpointe Mall, Van Andel Arena and DeVos Place. Nearby businesses include Amway World Headquarters, Steelcase, Eaton Aerospace, Spectrum Health, Meijer and GE Aviation.
