Duravit & Philippe Starck Debut Shower Toilet

SensoWashWhat do you get from a collaboration between Duravit and product designer Philippe Starck? SensoWash Starck, an innovative new shower-toilet.

Underneath the lid, high-tech features include a power-activated lid, a nozzle with adjustable positioning and jet strength, individual adjustment of water, air and seat surface temperature and a seat with rear, front and oscillating washes to provide three wash types that are differentiated for men and women.

Before and after each use, SensoWash's stainless-steel spray arm and nozzles are automatically cleaned. Additionally, the spray arm and toilet seat have an anti-microbial coating and are easily removable for cleaning.

Packaged into a metal cube, Starck's wireless remote control features clear graphics and a logical layout of function keys that are illuminated when selected. The cube can save individual preferences. Operations include the ability to open and close the toilet lid and seat and operate all washing, drying and heating functions, before restoring the control to its cradle, which includes a magnetic holder and automatic lock. Child safety includes a feature to prevent unwanted splashing and a sensor integrated in the seat that only allows the functions to be used when it recognizes an adult user.

Other features include a standby mode and a power-saving mode and temperature sensors to protect against heat getting too high. There is also an LED night-light function to provide orientation and safety in low light.
