National Office Furniture, a unit of Kimball International, launched the Essay seating. Done in collaboration with former Purdue industrial design student Sasha Mahan-Rudolph, the chair’s design includes a chevron back that makes it easy to hang bags; a non-handed tablet that is large enough to accommodate a laptop and notepad; and a spacious tray base for storage. Produced in eight signature colors, including two blues and a bold red, Essay is also available with an upholstered seat and in stool height.
