Embassy Suites Detroit-Troy/Auburn Hills completes $7.8 million renovation

ATLANTA, GA, January 26, 2009—Hospitality Ventures, LLC, a privately owned hotel ownership and management firm headquartered in Atlanta, today announced that it has completed an $7.8 million renovation of the Embassy Suites Detroit-Troy/Auburn Hills, located at 850 Tower Drive in Troy, MI.  The 251-suite property was acquired in mid-2007 by a joint venture between RockBridge Partners (an affiliate of RockBridge Capital, LLC) and Hospitality Ventures.
The Embassy Suites Detroit-Troy/Auburn Hills underwent a top-to-bottom upgrade of all guest suites and public spaces.  A highlight of the project is an all-new innovative design model for Embassy Suites atriums that provides numerous options for dining, work, and leisure activities for the modern traveler.  The completely redesigned, eight-story atrium features a communal-space design concept with fresh, contemporary color scheme, two-story water feature with dramatic lighting, music, U-shaped, high-top communal table, and clusters of living room-type areas with sofas, chairs and tables for comfortable lap-top computer work or quiet conversation.  TV monitors viewable from anywhere in the atrium and a new open-space, casual restaurant (Riparian Grille) also are featured in the new atrium.  A focal point of the atrium is an all-new, ultra-modern bar featuring a cascading waterfall, vibrant colors, several flat-screen TV monitors and music
