Embassy Suites San Diego Bay - Downtown completes $8.5M renovation

Embassy Suites completed the renovation of the Embassy Suites San Diego Bay – Downtown. The $8.5-million project includes total restoration of the property’s atrium and lobby areas, completed updates to 341 guestrooms, a revamped fitness center and re-design of the meeting spaces, hallways and guest areas.

The most prominent element of the renovation project is the newly designed atrium and lobby, where guests will find entirely new flooring, lounge decor and furniture, as well as a new fountain, a large screen TV and a replica of the famous sculpture, BIRD. When arriving, visitors will be welcomed by a brand new front desk area and a concierge and business center.

For guests looking to unwind and socialize, the atrium’s newly replaced skylight improves the area’s natural lighting. Across the atrium, guests will find dining options, including the only Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins in the downtown area, along with PFC Bar & Grill, which offers seafood and American fare.

Accompanied by ocean, bay and city views, Embassy Suites San Diego Bay – Downtown’s enhancements include new upholstery and flooring, as well as new decorative lighting fixtures, planters and artwork around the entire property. The establishment also improved its over 5,000 square feet of meeting and event space. Updates to the meeting areas’ floors include the latest light fixtures and furniture.

The hotels’ enhanced suite offerings, which are comprised of Executive and Presidential Suites, now have updated furniture and refurbished bathroom amenities.

The property’s gym was also completely renovated, and now has new equipment, flooring and mirrors.

Additional revamps include overall structural enhancements, refurbished and modernized elevators and a complete update to the building’s façade.

The San-Diego Bay Downtown property is steps away from the Headquarters, historic Gaslamp Quarter and the San Diego Convention Center and minutes from other attractions such as SeaWorld San Diego and the San Diego Zoo.
