First NEWH NC Hospitality Designer Day at High Point Market slated this October

The NEWH North Carolina Regional Group announced the inaugural Hospitality Designer Day at High Point Market on Tuesday, Oct. 22. This event, sponsored by NEWH-member manufacturers, presents an opportunity for hospitality designers to visit the world’s largest furnishings industry trade show and experience manufacturers’ products and capabilities in depth.

Many manufacturers who have High Point showrooms are also major suppliers to the hospitality industry, giving hospitality designers from this region reason to attend the event.  The hope is to “bring together hospitality designers and suppliers to help support each other in this region,” said Karen Appert, steering committee chairperson of NEWH NC regional group. 

Invitations will also be extended to the NEWH hospitality design communities in Washington DC, Virginia and Atlanta, all within driving distance of High Point. Participating showrooms will be staffed with personnel conversant in hospitality products and pricing, so there will be no confusion about retail versus hospitality or contract products.

The showrooms are open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a cocktail party scheduled afterwards, hosted by NEWH Patron sponsor American Leather. There will also be seminars, presentations and CEUs.
