First Radisson Blu hotel to open in Udaipur, India, in May

Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group formed a partnership with Rockwood Hotels & Resorts on the signing of Radisson Blu Udaipur Palace Resort & Spa, formerly known as the Sheraton Udaipur Palace Resort & Spa. Radisson Blu Udaipur Palace Resort & Spa will be the first Radisson Blu hotel in Udaipur and is expected to open in May.

With the opening of Radisson Blu Udaipur Palace Resort & Spa, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group now has 66 hotels in operation and 41 in development in India.

Radisson Blu Udaipur Palace Resort & Spa is a 240-room hotel located on the banks of Fateh Sagar Lake in Ambamata, close to the city center and less than an hour's drive from the airport. Nearby tourist attractions include the City Palace, Udaipur Lake Palace and the shopping districts of Hathi Pol, Bada Bazaar, Chetak Circle and Palace Road.

The hotel's recreational facilities include an outdoor swimming pool which overlooks the Sajjangarh Fort and Aravali Hill, a lawn tennis court, a spa and a fitness center. The hotel also has meeting space, including a pillar-less ballroom that can accommodate up to 450 people. Dining options include an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant, a lobby bar and lounge and a poolside bar.

Radisson Blu has over 360 properties in operation and in development. Its flagship properties can be found in prime locations, including major cities, airport gateways and leisure destinations around the world. In Asia Pacific, there are 64 Radisson Blu hotels in operations and under development.
