Florida Radisson boosts tech amenities

Jacksonville, Fla. -- Nov. 17, 2008 -- Even with the worldwide economy slumping and the Jacksonville, Fla. hotel market stagnant, AMC Delancey Group and Paramount Hotel Group, co-owners of Radisson Hotel Jacksonville Butler Boulevard, are not sitting still on their commitment to providing guests with state-of-the-art technological amenities.

Instead, the companies are making a further investment in the hotel by adding LG 32-inch, flat panel, high definition LCD televisions, equipped with wired and wireless Internet, and web TV, to all 167 guestrooms, as well as adding several large, flat panel LCD televisions to public spaces throughout the hotel.

Taking their commitment one step further, the owners have equipped the entire hotel with high definition feeds to ensure that hotel guests and visitors receive the best possible picture on every television.

"We firmly believe this is a worthwhile investment, even in this economy, to ensure that we maintain and enhance our amenities to ensure guest satisfaction at a time when competition for limited hotel demand is the toughest it's been in years," said Michael C. Wachs, president and chief operating officer of AMC Delancey Group. "This ongoing commitment has helped us substantially increase our market share at a time when other Jacksonville hotels have suffered due to the decline in leisure travel and major Jacksonville companies curtailing their lodging requirements."

Keith Dunker, general manager of the Radisson Hotel Jacksonville Butler Boulevard, added, "A major reason for the hotel being awarded the Radisson Hotels & Resorts President's Award the past three years is our collective commitment to guest services and satisfaction. Everyone from the owners to property management to hotel staff goes beyond the minimum to ensure the highest levels of cleanliness, physical condition and guest satisfaction."

Recipient of the 2005, 2006 and 2007 Radisson Hotels & Resorts President's Award, the Radisson Hotel Jacksonville Butler Boulevard, a 100 percent smoke-free property, is a signature 167-room hotel offering a first-class experience for its guests as well as state-of-the-art conference facilities for corporate meetings and events. Located in the Southpoint Corporate Park, the hotel offers complimentary shuttle transportation to local businesses, comfortable accommodations and an array of in-room amenities and guest services, including Butler's Restaurant and Lounge, which offers full-course menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Located off I-95 at J. Turner Butler Boulevard, the hotel is situated within a bustling commercial district south of downtown Jacksonville and is just 11 miles from Jacksonville Municipal Sports Arena, home of the Jacksonville Jaguars, and only minutes from large corporations and area attractions and beaches.
