Forchielli Glynn, Rossi Architecture update The Garland

The Garland, a property located in the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles, completed a $20 million renovation. The hotel – which is owned by Beverly Garland's family-operated Rio Vista Development and managed by Marcus Hotels & Resorts – updated the guestrooms, lobby and lobby bar, outdoor garden and events venue.

The property's transformation was started in November 2014. The Garland's 257 guestrooms, including 14 suites, the lobby and lobby bar, were restyled in bohemian California style. The family ownership teamed up with Forchielli Glynn and Rossi Architecture to update The Garland's structures and spaces.

Part of The Garland's renovation is the opening of The Front Yard, the hotel's new restaurant helmed by executive chef Chris Turano. Located within the seven-acre property under sycamore trees, The Front Yard has an outdoor patio, bar and fire pit.

The property also upgraded Beverly Park, a 4,000-square-foot outdoor garden and event venue.

Built in 1972 by Fillmore Crank for his wife, Hollywood actress Beverly Garland, The Garland is located near Hollywood's popular destinations including Universal Studios and Universal CityWalk, Hollywood and the Hollywood Walk of Fame. James Crank took over the helm in 1999.

Scott Mills is the GM of the property.
