The Hyatt Regency Denver Tech in Denver, Colo., worked with FRCH Design Worldwide to complete a renovation of its public spaces, restaurant and bar, its first significant renovation since the hotel’s opening in 1989.
The goal of the renovation was to create a revitalized, modern space that reflected Denver’s culture and atmosphere. To capture the essence of Denver, FRCH Design Worldwide used natural materials throughout to help establish an abstract and atmospheric representation of the area.
Registration pods are inspired by the area’s geodes with polished bronze finishes on the desktop and ceiling. The staircase is covered with frosted mirror that reflects sunlight onto the registration area. Wood is found throughout the hotel bar while a stone wall is used in the hotel restaurant’s private dining area. Shear drapes are used to bring softness into the atrium space. Together, the components create a warm and inviting area that has refreshed the hotel and created a space reflective of the Denver area.
