Alila Seminyak opened as Alila’s fifth property on Bali, Indonesia. Designed by Gaurang Khemka at the Singapore architectural firm URBNarc, the resort blends contemporary architecture with vertical greens, wall-hugging plants, green roofs and landscaped terraces. There are numerous green spaces, replicated in corridors, lobbies and all public spaces.
The Seminyak resort has 240 rooms and suites, including one penthouse. The rooms are housed in four separate buildings throughout the resort.
For dining, the property has: an all-day restaurant between the bar and the pool, and which offers ocean views; a beach bar; and a coffee bar.
Other amenities include a Spa Alila, five swimming pools (including an infinity pool, an adults' pool and the family pool), an event center that can accommodate 350 people and a kids' club.
Alila Seminyak is the first resort in Indonesia to surpass the EarthCheck standards, achieving a 44-point best practice score against the industry norm of five points. The resort’s eco and energy solutions include the use of local and recyclable building materials, operating completely paperless and using its own bottled water. In addition, low energy light fixtures, rainwater harvesting, environmental and building management systems were implemented in the property’s development.
