Gentle curve: Oslo chair by Bernhardt Design

Bernhardt Design launched the Oslo chair, the first commercially produced design by Norwegian design firm AWAA, made of Christoffer Angell, Oyvind Wyller and Simen Aarseth. The Oslo chair combines the Nordic trio’s design philosophy and Bernhardt Design’s American heritage. The armed side chair has a gently curving and pure skeletal structure layered with a sling seat and back that rest upon the frame. Rather than being made from traditional Scandinavian hardwoods, Oslo is made of solid walnut, giving it an American sensibility. The Oslo chair may be upholstered in fabrics and leathers from Bernhardt Textiles or in the customer’s own material.

US brand Bernhardt Design was founded in 1983 as the commercial furniture arm of the Bernhardt Furniture Company.
