The Gettys Group designs Autograph Playa Largo Resort

The Gettys Group announced the development of Autograph Playa Largo Resort under the senior direction of Lorraine Knapp Masch, LEED AP, director of the firm’s Miami studio.

Autograph Playa Largo Resort is Key Largo’s first new hotel property constructed in over 25 years.  Following The Epicurean Hotel in Tampa, it is the second ever new-build Autograph property in the US.

The property is scheduled for opening in December 2015.

Virtual Event

Survival in these times is highly dependent on a hotel's ability to quickly adapt and pivot their business to meet the current needs of travelers and the surrounding community. Join us for Optimization Part 2 – a FREE virtual event – as we bring together top players in the industry to discuss alternative uses when occupancy is down, ways to boost F&B revenue, how to help your staff adjust to new challenges and more, in a series of panels focused on how you can regain profitability during this crisis.

Using a design vocabulary drawn from sea glass, shell tones, and sand dunes, the interiors of the hotel will create an atmosphere that blends American and Caribbean influences. This complete resort property will also have 10 private bungalows, a full-service restaurant and a beach club for local residents.

Situated on 14 secluded beachfront acres boasting views of Florida Bay, guest accommodations will include 155 luxury rooms, suites and bungalows with Florida Bay and eco-rich island views. There will be multiple restaurants, and outdoor amenities will include watersports, eco tours, diving and snorkeling, fishing and lounging.

During her first year leading the Miami studio, Masch has overseen the design work for a number of high profile properties and renovations to existing hotels throughout the US and in the Caribbean and South America. Aside from the Autograph Playa Largo Resort, other recent highlights from The Gettys Group’s Miami studio include Doubletree Nashville, and Wyndham Lake Buena Vista in Orlando, Fla.
