Q! Hotel opened in Berlin, Germany, with designs by GRAFT. This is GRAFT's first hotel project, with the company creating spaces for the property that resemble futuristic cocoons. With this property, GRAFT developed using optical and haptic concepts according to owner Wolfgang Loock’s ideas.
The central element of all the hotel rooms is the bath, which was integrated into the sleeping area. The architects used various materials such as artificial ostrich leather, baked oak and slate. All rooms in the property have flatscreen TV's, slated bathrooms and showers and iPod docking stations. Nintendo-Wii is offered in all suites.
The hotel’s wellness area has heated sand, Japanese washing zone, Finnish sauna and a steam bath. Other amenities include wireless Internet connectivity; 24-hour front desk and concierge service; and laptop computers.
For dining, Q! Hotel offers the Q! restaurant, serving a cross-over cuisine with Thai and European influences; Q! BAR; and Germany's first “private membership” hotel bar, Q! The Bar.
Meanwhile, for events, Q! Hotel offers a conference room that can be converted into a photo-studio or reception area.
