Hamilton Princess & Beach Club unveils phase two of $90M renovation

Hamilton Princess & Beach Club, a Fairmont Managed Hotel – a property located in Bermuda –  debuted phase two of its more than $90-million renovation. Phase two includes Marcus', a new harbor side restaurant from celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson; renovated guestrooms and suites in the Gazebo wing of the hotel; a re-imagining of the hotel's grounds; and a new lobby bar and restaurant, Crown & Anchor. In addition, a Princess Beach Club will open at another island location: South Beaches.

The renovation of the 88 guestrooms and suites in the Gazebo wing will include all new furniture, fixtures and equipment, and upgraded wireless Internet and audio visual features. Upon completion, the guestrooms and suites will have a color palette inspired by the island. Cream-colored hues will be complemented by splashes of color, while works of art by Bermudian artists will adorn the walls. New upholstery, dark woods and luxury finishes will complete the effect. Guestroom bathrooms will be designed with marble tile and walk-in rain showers.

Opening late in May is Marcus', the signature restaurant from chef Marcus Samuelsson. Located in the former Gazebo Room, the restaurant will have an open kitchen complete with wood burning barbeque pit, a central bar and a new 1,500-square-foot outdoor terrace overlooking the hotel's marina.

In addition to the guestrooms and restaurant, the hotel's  grounds will be re-imagined and re-designed to incorporate the harbor setting. The landscape will be dropped down five feet to allow for harbor views. Fire pits and seating areas in the gardens will be adorned with plants and flowers, enhancing the courtyard; and new lounge-style furniture will be added to create a more contemporary feeling in the outdoor space. An area for entertainment and private functions will be added at the end of the courtyard, overlooking Hamilton Harbor.

The hotel's lobby restaurant will also be renovated and re-opened as Crown & Anchor, featuring indoor and outdoor seating.

Hamilton Princess & Beach Club, a Fairmont Managed Hotel, was established in 1885. The property offers 410  guestrooms, including 43 suites and more than 30,000 square feet of  indoor and outdoor reception and meeting rooms.
