Handcrafted beauty: Coiled stool by Umbra Shift

Toronto-based brand Umbra launched a new collection of 14 handcrafted objects titled Umbra Shift. Part of the collection is the Coiled stool, which is inspired by colored threads, an ergonomic tractor seat and Filipino basket weaving techniques. The stool was designed by American Harry Allen. Mounted on four wood legs, hand-woven threads cover a rattan core to create a tractor seat. The Coiled stool fits into casual and formal environments.

UUmbra was established more than 30 years ago.
