Handmade appearance: Yummy rug by Joa Herrenknecht

Introducing the “Yummy” rug by Berlin designer Joa Herrenknecht. With a thick yellow wool grid on a soft cotton base, the grid design was inspired by the shape of Belgian waffles and the handmade appearance of Moroccan carpets.

Joa Herrenknecht is based in Berlin. She studied Product Design at Hochschule für Gestaltung in Karlsruhe, Germany. Her very first product, the Nest lamp collection, received a Red Dot Design Award in 2012.
