Hansgrohe North America appoints Erik Christensen as president/GM

Hansgrohe North America, a manufacturer of kitchen and bath products, has appointed Erik Christensen as president/GM of the subsidiary.

In his new role at Hansgrohe, Christensen looks to build on the subsidiary’s growth, while overseeing a team of 250 employees and a manufacturing facility in Alpharetta, Ga.

Formerly a VP at Armstrong World Industries, Christensen comes equipped with over a quarter of a century of experience in the building products and flooring industries. He has a proven track record in logistics, operations and sales with a tenure that includes everything from establishing distribution networks in foreign markets to developing strategic plans based on region specific demand.

Christensen spent the beginning half of his career with Armstrong, from 1987 to 1999. His resumé also includes leadership roles at Closetmaid, Shaw Industries and Edge Flooring. In 2008, he returned to Armstrong and moved up the ranks to VP for sales, residential floor products east, where he was responsible for the profitability of this division.
