High performance: Hardwear and Sportswear redux by Designtex

Designtex is re-introducing Hardwear and Sportswear, two high performance textile collections created in collaboration with textile designer Nancy Giesberger. The textiles have PVC-coated yarns re-engineered to make the materials phthalate-free. Instead, Hardwear and Sportswear are now using an FDA-approved softening agent that allows the products to comply with the phthalates restrictions of the State of California.

The chemistry in Hardwear and Sportswear also improves the feel of the textiles, as well as pearlized yarns for sheen. Armour is a new wallcovering for the Hardwear collection available in 13 neutral colorways. Four new sportswear upholsteries designed specifically for indoor and outdoor stadium seating — Bit, Bolt, Rivet and Rivet Pearl — use a variety of weave techniques.

Colors include Aquamarine, Bronze and Lawn.
