Hilton Garden Inn-Anchorage unveils new look

March 27, 2009 — As of March 2009, the Hilton Garden Inn in Anchorage has a fresh new look to present to visitors. A recently completed 2.5 million dollar renovation includes enhancements and amenities that make a stay at the Hilton Garden Inn even more memorable, productive and enjoyable for business and leisure travelers alike.

Navin C. Dimond, President and Chief Executive Officer of Stonebridge Companies says, “We are very pleased to update and improve the Hilton Garden Inn as it is an extremely important hotel to the Anchorage community. The Hilton Garden Inn, now more than ever, reflects our commitment to showcase the culture and professionalism of Anchorage and all of Alaska as a premier city and state.”

All 125 guest rooms have been upgraded with Garden Sleep System beds to encourage a comfortable and restful night’s sleep. Guests can watch their favorite shows, movies or play games on the newly installed 32-inch flat-panel televisions. New furniture and carpeting round out the guest room updates and add to the existing comforts including in-room refrigerator, microwave, coffee-maker, oversized work desk, wireless internet and dual line speaker phone with voice mail.

The lobby décor, rich in Alaskan artifacts reminds visitors of the state’s awe-inspiring wilderness and its love of the outdoors. A grizzly bear and bull moose pay homage to the natural world that is an indelible part of the Alaskan experience. River rock, warm wood accents, and a cozy, yet sophisticated earth colored palate add to the nature-themed ambiance.

Just off the lobby, the new concept restaurant, Amore La Cucina, serves up everyone’s favorite Italian flavors. Tantalize the taste buds with mouth-watering antipasti, hand-tossed pizzas with all the traditional toppings and some unusual ones too, as well as palate-pleasing build-your-own pasta dishes.

“The extensive renovation recently completed at the Hilton Garden Inn Anchorage enables the hotel to consistently provide business and leisure guests with superior accommodations,” said Adrian Kurre, senior vice president-brand management, Hilton Garden Inn. “Hilton Garden Inn is a brand that was created with the ultimate comfort and convenience of the traveler in mind. The renovations at this exceptional property will deliver on guest expectations while providing great value.”

The Hilton Garden Inn is ideally situated in mid-town Anchorage, only three miles from Ted Stevens International Airport and Egan Convention Center. Many Anchorage attractions are within easy walking distance of the hotel. Other Hilton Garden Inn amenities include a heated pool, 24-hour fitness center, full-service business center, guest laundry and on-site self parking.
