Hilton Worldwide completes $24M refresh of two San Diego properties

Hilton Worldwide completed an enhancement project for two of its Southern California properties - the 394-room Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines and the 300-room DoubleTree by Hilton San Diego- Mission Valley.

Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines, located between the villages of La Jolla and Del Mar, was updated with new guestrooms, while DoubleTree by Hilton San Diego - Mission Valley underwent enhancements to its guest rooms and the event and meeting spaces.

Inspired by the La Jolla coastline, the design of the enhanced guest rooms at Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines reflects the local beaches and flora. The standard guestrooms as well as the Vista and Terrace Suites feature a natural palette paired with the sleek lines of the guestroom's dark distressed wood furnishings. The linens are etched with the branches of Torrey Pines and local artwork adds a burst of color reminiscent of the San Diego sun. Set atop the cliffs in the Torrey Pines State Reserve, the hotel overlooks the Torrey Pines Golf Course and the Pacific Ocean, providing guests with a retreat while remaining close to everything San Diego has to offer.

DoubleTree by Hilton San Diego-Mission Valley's newly redesigned meeting and event spaces including Hub, Shutters East, Shutters West, Great Room and North, South and West Foyers have an organic look with colors and textures that reflect the coastal region. The renovation includes custom designed Axminster wool carpet, all new wall coverings, light fixtures and furniture. Planned for completion in Fall 2013, the hotel will also introduce travelers to a newly constructed "Gallery," adding 4,800 square feet of meeting space to the existing 25,000 square feet. This new venue will offer a modern setting for any event with a full wall of floor-to-ceiling glass doors, opening up to a private outdoor space.

Design inspiration for the Presidential, Executive and Hospitality Suites at DoubleTree by Hilton San Diego-Mission Valley was derived from the hotel's setting. A combination of beach-inspired textiles and urban chic design elements are reminiscent of San Diego's charm. The newly enhanced suites are ideal for business and leisure travelers.
