Hospitality designer Kathy Moran launches new firm

Kathy Moran, who for the past two decades built a resume consisting of hospitality design projects worldwide, started her own company: KMC&A Design. Based in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., Moran plans to continue working with major hospitality/hotel chains, offering design consultation and implementation programs.

Prior to launching KMC&A Design, Moran had been senior associate at Dallas-based Flick-Mars, where she served as lead designer for recent signature projects such as Hilton Times Square, New York, N.Y.; Renaissance Austin, Austin, Texas; Renaissance Orlando at Sea World, Orlando, Fla.; Hilton Torrey Pines, La Jolla, Calif.; Hilton Rye Town, Westchester, N.Y.; Enchantment Resort, Sedona, Ariz.; Hyatt Coral Gables, Coral Gables, Fla. and Disney’s Port Orleans Resort, Hotel Alligator Bayou Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

Her career includes co-founding and implementing interior design standards and specifications for the interior design of both domestic and international hospitality projects. As a lead designer for hospitality/hotel and upscale senior living facilities throughout the US, she has worked with all applicable codes and ADA requirements, with experience in budgeting, cash flow reporting and procurement of FF & E specifications.
