Hotel Le Bristol finishes $137M restoration

Hotel le Bristol, the first hotel to be rated as a palace in France, has announced the completion of a $137 million three-year restoration program.

The entire restoration program, designed by hotel owner Maja Oetker, in collaboration with architect Pierre-Yves Rochon, included the completion of Spa Le Bristol by La Prairie, two new signature suites, and Epicure, and the newly decorated three-star Michelin restaurant, formerly known as the Gastronomique.

The three-year restoration program earlier saw the launch of a new wing in 2009, and the addition of restaurant Le 114 Faubourg.

The Imperial Suite spans 320 square meters (3,444 square feet), boasting its own dining room for up to 12 people, a separate lounge decorated with Taillardat furniture, and a walk-in wardrobe in the main bedroom. The second bedroom features a lounge area, bath, separate shower, and double washbasin. The suite also has its own hamman. Meanwhile, the Honeymoon Suite views of the Eiffel Tower, Les Invalides and the Grand Palais. Furnished in 18th century style, the suite spans 237 square meters (2,551 square feet), boasting of four surrounding balconies, a lounge, main bedroom with walk-in wardrobe, and a second bedroom.
