Hyatt announces plans for a Park Hyatt hotel in Auckland

Hyatt Hotels Corporation announced that a Hyatt affiliate has entered into a management agreement with Fu Wah New Zealand for a Park Hyatt hotel in Auckland, New Zealand. Expected to open in 2017, Park Hyatt Auckland will mark Hyatt’s return to New Zealand, and the first Park Hyatt-branded hotel to open in Auckland.

When it opens, Park Hyatt Auckland will feature 190 guestrooms, three restaurants and bars, event spaces, a spa, a pool and a fitness center. Park Hyatt Auckland will be located in a waterfront location on Auckland Harbour, which is expected to undergo a major revitalization to turn the area into leisure, entertainment, culture and dining destination.

The Park Hyatt brand recently purchased Park Hyatt Melbourne.

There are currently 35 Park Hyatt hotels in the following locations: Abu Dhabi, Beaver Creek, Beijing, Buenos Aires, Busan, Canberra, Carlsbad, Changbaishan, Chennai, Chicago, Dubai, Goa, Hamburg, Hyderabad, Istanbul, Jeddah, Maldives, Melbourne, Mendoza, Milan, Moscow, New York, Ningbo, Paris, Saigon, Sanya Sunny Bay, Seoul, Shanghai, Siem Reap, Sydney, Tokyo, Toronto, Vienna, Washington D.C., and Zurich.
