IHG ANA to open ANA Holiday Inn Kanazawa Sky in Japan

IHG ANA Hotels Group Japan signed an agreement with Kanazawa Sky Hotel for ANA Holiday Inn Kanazawa Sky. Currently the Kanazawa Sky Hotel, the 100-room hotel sits in the center of Kanazawa city on the Ishikawa Prefecture in Japan. It is due to be refurbished and rebranded by the spring of 2014.

Kanazawa is a tourist destination known as a “Castle City (Jyoka-machi)." Located near Kanazawa's central commercial district of Musashigatsuji, ANA Holiday Inn Kanazawa Sky will be walking distance to and from the Kanazawa train station and downtown, near tourist attractions such as the Kenrokuen garden, one of Japan's three famous gardens, the 18th century Omi-cho Market and historic Nagamachi Samurai district underneath of Kanazawa Castle, where Samurai and their families used to reside. Kanazawa is also famous for its traditional 16th century culture with its Kutani porcelain, traditional Kaga style cuisine, Kaga Yuzen kimono, gold leaf craftwork and tea ceremony confectionery.

The ANA Holiday Inn Kanazawa Sky will have guestrooms, banquet rooms and restaurants.

Holiday Inn celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2012, with the company now present in 96 countries, with 3,439 hotels across the Holiday Inn brand family, comprising Holiday Inn hotels, Holiday Inn Resorts, Holiday Inn Express and Holiday Inn Club Vacations.

Established in 2006, IHG ANA Hotels Group Japan is a joint venture by hotel company IHG and ANA, the Japanese airline group. IHG ANA currently operates 31 properties across Japan offering 9,500 rooms.
