InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) completed the renovation of the Holiday Inn Resort Aruba - Beach Resort and Casino, one of the island’s landmark resorts. The hotel is located on Palm Beach, offering guests views in the Caribbean.
IHG’s first presence in the Caribbean dates back to the early 1960s, and in Aruba specifically since 1967.
The renovations of the nearly 600-room property in Aruba include upgrades to its guestrooms, lobby and landscaping around the property. In addition, the resort’s outdoor amenities now have three swimming pools, Jacuzzi, full-service spa and an updated beachfront Sea Breeze Restaurant & Bar, Oceanside Bar & Grill and the new Palm Bar.
The renovated guestrooms now have a 37-inch flat screen LED TV, new carpeting and new bedding.
The resort offers an array of amenities including the full-service Excelsior Casino, spa services, fitness facilities, five on-site restaurants and three bars, three pools and Jacuzzis, arcade and free Wi-Fi connectivity. Additional on-site recreational activities include sunset meditation, yoga classes, wine tasting, dance classes and a range of complimentary on-site kids’ activities such as sand castle contests, pool volleyball, Bluebeard’s Scavenger Hunts, and necklace making.
The Holiday Inn brand was conceived 62 years ago for traveling families. IHG invested in the $1 billion Holiday Inn global brand relaunch, the largest in hospitality history, which included the transition of the Holiday Inn Resort brand from the Holiday Inn SunSpree Resorts brand in 2007. With the relaunch, new hotels feature a contemporary image with emphasis on arrival and welcome services, guestroom and guest bath comfort and a redesigned logo and signage.
