IHG opens Crowne Plaza Jordan Dead Sea Resort & Spa

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has announced the opening of Crowne Plaza Jordan Dead Sea Resort & Spa, nestled at the lowest point on earth on the banks of the Dead Sea.

The property has a 5,500 square meter (59,201 square foot) swimming pool, called “The Lake” and the beach-side pool with infinity views. The 6,000 square meter (64,583 square foot) Thalgo Spa has 30 treatment rooms, three indoor heated hydrotherapy pools, a Dead Sea salt water pool and gym.

Crowne Plaza Jordan Dead Sea Resort & Spa has 420 rooms, including a Presidential Suite and Royal Suite. Also available are eight bars and restaurants, including Burj Al Hamam serving traditional Lebanese dishes, a Latin American restaurant and the Aqua Pool Bar. Other amenities are available at The Promenade, where there is an amphitheater, Kid’s Club and café.

The hotel’s meeting and event facilities include the Obadas ballroom, which can hold up to 600 people, as well as two smaller meeting rooms which cater for up to 50 people.

The resort is the third Crowne Plaza to open in Jordan, joining Crowne Plaza Petra and Crowne Plaza Amman. IHG now have seven hotels in the country including Holiday Inn Dead Sea Resort and the InterContinental Jordan.
