InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) is expanding in Punjab with the opening of the Holiday Inn Amritsar Ranjit Avenue. The hotel, the newest addition to IHG’s portfolio in India, is the seventh Holiday Inn hotel in the country.

The 145-room hotel is located in the center of Amritsar’s commercial district, Ranjit Avenue. The Golden Temple (Harmandir Sahib) is located a short distance away, and Sri Guru Ram Das Jee International Airport and railway station are within a 15 minute drive from the hotel.

The hotel offers a range of facilities and amenities, including an outdoor pool and fitness center, and, in its rooms, 32” plasma screens, high-speed Internet connectivity and a multimedia hub for connectivity.

Guests at the hotel can choose from a variety of dining options, including: Ziva, the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant; Bella Italian Trattoria, Amritsar’s first and only authentic Italian restaurant; and The Lounge, a lounge bar serving a selection of gourmet tea, coffee and cocktails.

The hotel’s grand ballroom can hold 450 people.
