IHG signs new-build agreement with Vietnam's BIM Group

InterContinental Hotels Group has signed an agreement with Vietnamese conglomerate, the BIM Group, to open two new-build Crowne Plaza properties in Vientiane, Lao People's Democratic Republic and Phu Quoc, Vietnam.

eTravel Blackboard reports that both properties will open in 2015. Crowne Plaza Vientiane will be IHG's first property in Lao PDR, and will mark the hotel group's strategic presence across IndoChina.

IHG has properties in Hanoi, Vietnam and Phnom Penh, Cambodia, as well. The Crowne Plaza Phu Quoc Resort will be the brand's fourth property in Vietnam.
