IntelliStay Hotels to open 50 new hotels in India by 2015

IntelliStay Hotels announced plans to invest roughly $10 million to open 50 new properties in India by 2014 to 2015. The India-headquartered group will open properties in cities including Raipur, Bhopal, Tirupati, Chennai, Coimbatore, Vadodara, Vapi, Surat, Ahmedabad, New Delhi, Gurgaon and Jalandhar.

In 2012, IntelliStay Hotels was acquired by Apodis Hotels and Resorts, an Indian hotel operator, whose interests span the budget, mid-market and leisure hospitality segments.

IntelliStay launched its seventh property of Mango Suites in June 2012 and plans to open two more new properties in Mangalore and Nagpur in a few months’ time.

Mango Suites, owned and operated by IntelliStay Hotels, has three operational properties in Bangalore, and one each in Mysore, Amritsar and Hyderabad. The company focuses on brownfield development at low capital and operational expenditure. IntelliStay will operate the property modified by the owner according to Mango Suites standards on lease and revenue sharing agreements.
