Intricate shadows: Nikau by David Trubridge

David Trubridge has launched Nikau. Made from renewable bamboo, the pendant recalls the leaf forms of the only native palm in New Zealand.

Flat-packed for shipping, Nikau is assembled like a puzzle, using press-on nylon clips. The dramatic form is bulbous in the middle and tapered at both ends.

Inside the central section, a bulb shines through Nikau’s crisscrossed pieces, casting intricate shadows. The Nikau pendant comes in 11 finishes, including natural, caramel or painted on one side.
