Italo Rota tapped for Boscolo Milano redesign

Boscolo Hotels announced that two of its luxury hotels in Italy, Boscolo Milano and Boscolo Exedra Roma, joined the Autograph Collection. Boscolo began its partnership with Autograph Collection in 2011 with the inauguration of its first hotels in the portfolio in four European cities, including the Boscolo Palace in Rome, Boscolo Venezia in Venice, Boscolo Prague in the Czech Republic and the Boscolo Budapest in Hungary.

Boscolo Milano is an Italian styled contemporary hotel, situated in the fashion shopping district “Quadrilatero della Moda.” The redesign of this historic building from the 1920s is by architect Italo Rota. The hotel has public areas and 154 guestrooms and suites, and one of the largest hotel spas in Milan with 6,458 square feet of space. The property has a rooftop terrace that provides views of the illuminated Duomo spires.

Meanwhile, the Boscolo Exedra is a five star luxury hotel of classic design created through the restoration of a late XIX-century palace. The hotel has an area with a plate glass floor where guests can view illuminated excavations of ancient Roman baths underneath the property. The hotel has 238 guestrooms, including a number of rooms offering panoramic views of the Piazza Della Repubblica. The hotel also has two restaurants offering Italian cuisine and a summer terrace. Similarly available is a spa that offers multiple massage treatments and an outdoor swimming pool with panoramic views overlooking the Eternal city. For meetings and special events, the hotel has facilities for small and medium size gatherings.
