Jagged edges: Zigzag by Chevalier Edition

French brand Chevalier Edition has launched a new rug.  Called Zigzag, the rug is by Dominique Perrault and Gaelle Lauriot- Prévost, principals of French architectural firm DPA.  Perrault and Lauriot-Prévost were said to have been inspired by the pattern of the metal mesh that they have used across several of their buildings.  Thus, the geometric zigzag pattern is also incorporated into the shape of the rug, which features jagged edges.  The rug is made in hand knotted wool and/or silk, and is available in two sizes (174 cm x 200 cm, and 123 cm x 334 cm), as well as in yellow or black and white colorways.

Chevalier Edition was launched in 2008 by the sister, brother, and father trio of Camile, Nicolas, and Pierre Chevalier.
