JW Marriott opens first property in Pune, India

Formerly known as Pune Marriott Hotel and Convention Centre, JW Marriott Hotel Pune opened after a conversion. This business hotel in Pune is not only the first JW Marriott in the city and the third in the country, but is also the first Marriott property in the Asia Pacific region to undergo a conversion.

For guests traveling on business, the five-star hotel’s amenities include wireless Internet connectivity, desks with ergonomic chairs, in-room vaults for laptops and fresh breakfast options.

JW Marriott Hotel Pune also has nearly 40,000 square feet of meeting space, so that it can accommodate up to 2,000 guests.

The luxury hotel offers access to many tourist attractions, including historic forts, museums, shopping districts and hill stations.

Guests at JW Marriott Hotel Pune may also avail of in-house dining options, including international fare, Italian cuisine, specialty vegetarian-Asian options and North-Indian delicacies.

The hotel, which is considered a wedding, lifestyle and F&B destination, is eyeing the introduction of various luxury touchpoints over the next year. The spa and restaurants will see gradual changes.
