Karen Wang Interior Consultant designs Zhuzhou Marriott interiors

Marriott International opened its first hotel under the Marriott Hotels brand in Hunan Province, south-central China. The Zhuzhou Marriott Hotel has 311 guestrooms, restaurants and event facilities.

Located adjacent to the Hunan provincial capital of Changsha, Zhuzhou is a port city on the Xiang River and a regional transportation hub. Zhuzhou Marriott Hotel is within the commercial area around Midea Times Square in the Liyu Central Business District. The hotel is near the Zhuzhou West Railway Station and Changsha Huanghua International Airport.

Designed by Hong Kong design studio Karen Wang Interior Consultant, the hotel's interior spaces mix contemporary concepts and elements reflecting local culture. Sculptures and artwork are among the features of the property.

Zhuzhou Marriott Hotel has 311 rooms and suites ranging in size from the 46-square-meter (495-square-foot) King Room to the 277-square-meter (2,982-square-foot) Presidential Suite. Each guestroom comes has skincare products by the Thai brand THANN, complimentary coffee and tea, Internet connectivity and satellite and cable television.

Offering views of Zhuzhou City, the Zhuzhou Marriott Hotel Executive Lounge is located on the 24th floor.

Dining options at Zhuzhou Marriott Hotel include: The Lobby, which is divided into different zones; Tea House; Man Ho restaurant, which has 17 private dining rooms; Zhuzhou Kitchen, which has open kitchens; and MINT, which has a semi-open kitchen.

For events, Zhuzhou Marriott Hotel’s pillar-less Zhuzhou Ballroom has a floor area exceeding 1,000 square meters (10,764 square feet). The ballroom can be divided into three smaller ballrooms, each 340 square meters (3,660 square feet) in area. There are also five smaller rooms. A 530-square-meter (5,705-square-foot) foyer bordering the ballroom and multi-function spaces provides a setting for mingling before and after events.

Other amenities at Zhuzhou Marriott Hotel include: a fitness center with sauna, business center with computer workstations and Internet connectivity, a spa and an indoor heated swimming pool.
