Kempinski Hotel Haitang Bay launched

Kempinski has announced the opening of the Kempinski Hotel Haitang Bay.

The five-star hotel is made up of four interlinking parts – the hotel complex, private villas, a conference center with several meeting rooms, and a leisure part, which offers a golf course and a spa. A 1,200 meter (over 3,900 feet) long sea water river connects the different parts of the premises, accessible through a gondola ride.

The conference center offers 11 meeting rooms, including the Grand Ballroom that can host events for up to 1,200 guests. There is also an Art Centre surrounded by the river.

Executive chef Nikolaos Lekkas helms six dining outlets, including Café Berlin, which offers international buffets; Yuen Court Chinese Restaurant, which serves Cantonese cuisine and Hainan specialties; El Faro Beach Bar, offering cocktails; Paulaner Bräuhaus, which offers home-brewed beer and Bavarian dishes; and the Rotunda Café, offering Chinese, Asian and Western cuisines.

The golf course has been built using bricks from an old Shanghai-style house previously owned by 20th century Chinese celebrity Du Yue Sheng. The nine-hole practice golf course includes a children’s putting green.

Other amenities include the spa center, two tennis courts, outdoor swimming pools, a fitness center, and a games room.
