
Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide debuted the Tribute Portfolio brand in Asia Pacific with the signing of The Kiroro, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Hokkaido. Owned by Kiroro Resort Holdings Co., when the property opens in December, it will be located at the Kiroro Resort in Western Hokkaido, Japan.
The Kiroro is part of a dual signing with the Sheraton Hokkaido Kiroro Resort, also scheduled to open in December.
Located at the base of the ski mountain, The Kiroro, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Hokkaido will have 282 guestrooms and suites, and will have on-site recreational facilities, including a gym and swimming pool. The hotel will also have four different restaurant and bar destinations. For events, the property will have more than 1,400 square meters (15,069 square feet) of function space, including a grand ballroom and four meeting rooms.
Starwood aims to grow the brand to 100 hotels by 2020.
