L'Auberge Casino Resort Lake Charles completes $20M renovation

L'Auberge Casino Resort in Lake Charles, La., a Pinnacle Entertainment, property, completed a hotel room renovation project of over $20-million. The rooms now include new suites and amenity upgrades. Phase two of the renovation will begin in September to complete renovation of the remaining hotel tower rooms and suites in the first half of 2014.

The updated hotel rooms present amenities including oversized flat panel televisions, luxury bedding, pillow top mattresses and plush carpeting. Floor to ceiling windows offer views of the tropical pool area, Contraband Bayou or the lush golf course while highlighting the custom designed furnishings, woodwork and decor.

The renovation similarly includes the addition of two new room categories: Royale and Marquis Suites are larger in size than Luxury Rooms, with views of Southwest Louisiana. The rooms have upgraded amenities including refrigerators, Keurig brand coffee machines, make-up mirrors and complimentary robes and slippers. They are decorated with stately furnishings and artwork from Louisiana artists. The room renovation was completed utilizing a Lake Charles based contractor, KAP Construction.

 

L'Auberge Lake Charles opened in 2005 with 750 guestrooms and added a 250-room tower in 2008. The 26-story hotel complex offers rooms, luxury suites, Garden Suites and a private villa complex and is the largest hotel in Louisiana outside of New Orleans.

L'Auberge Casino Resort is located on 242 acres of land in Lake Charles, La., two hours from the Houston metropolitan area. The property includes a 26-story hotel complex with approximately 1,000 rooms and suites; an 18-hole golf course designed by Tom Fazio; 26,000 gross square feet of meeting space, including a full-service business center and landscaped terrace space plus outdoor poolside lawn; two resort swimming pools, lazy river and private cabana courtyard; full-service barber shop, salon, spa and cardio fitness center; retail stores; 10 dining outlets; beachside bar, grill and marina; and entertainment. The 70,000-square-foot casino features Vegas-like gaming action with 70 table games and approximately 1,600 slot machines, including a seven-table Poker Room, VIP Lounge and High Limit Salon.
