The Langham London announces plans for another renovations phase

Hot on the heels of The Langham London’s recent multi-million dollar renovation - unveiled in June 2009 - the hotel has released plans for another phase of the project including the creation of a second presidential suite and upgrades to 25 additional hotel suites.

The project, which is being overseen by Richmond International, the creative force behind the hotel’s refurbishment in 2009, will unveil The Regent Suite accommodation in May 2010 to complement the much heralded Infinity Suite, London’s largest and most sought-after suite. Throughout the project the Richmond International team will also add upgrades to The Langham’s 25 existing top suites, which will also be re-named following the transformation.

The Regent Suite
A direct link to the hotel’s long history, The Regent Suite has been named after The Prince Regent (later King George IV), the original developer of Regent Street – London’s famed sweeping boulevard. Located atop the main entrance in the most historic part of the hotel, the suite will offer high ceilings and large bay windows affording beautiful views down Portland Place to Regent’s Park and beyond.

The 1785sq ft suite will boast two bedrooms (each with their own private sitting room), and a private salon that can be adapted into a third sitting room, dining room, or boardroom. The Regent Suite offers a more classic décor than The Infinity Suite, with traditional fabrics and furnishings and specially commissioned artwork, to evoke a warm residential feel. Residents of the new suite will also receive a 24-hour personal butler and access to the Style Service at Liberty <> - London’s unique and best loved luxury emporium.

A pre-arrival menu from the personal butler will also enable guests to enhance their stay with options including personal exercise equipment, private in-suite dining, nanny services, exclusive casino membership and private chauffeur services.

Upgraded Suites
In addition to the creation of The Regent Suite, The Langham is also further embellishing its remaining one-and-two bedroom suites. The suites will be renamed after London squares, a nod to the hotel’s historic past as the city’s oldest Grand Hotel - The Trafalgar Suite, The Hanover Suite, and The Fitzroy Suite to name just a few. All the suites will receive fully renovated bedrooms and sitting room accommodations with the overall design concept of an English residence, with bespoke pieces reflecting the individual character and layout of each suite. Touches such as paisley throws, decorative accessories from the Far East and Europe and a color palette of soft whites create an oasis of calm.

The Regent Suite will be completed at the end of May 2010 and will be priced at £5,000 per night exclusive of VAT; rates in upgraded suites starting at £750, per night exclusive of VAT. When paying Best Available Flexible Rate, guests also benefit from access to The Langham Club Lounges which serve all day light meals and refreshments, including breakfast, afternoon tea and evening cocktails and canapés.

Bookings may be made on-line at, by calling the hotel directly on +44 (0) 20 7973 7503, or via The Leading Hotels of The World or guests’ preferred travel agent.
