Long Island Marriott Hotel Conference Center completes $21-million renovation

Uniondale, NY--October 9,  2008--The Long Island Marriott has recently completed $21 million in renovations, it was announced today by Michael Johnston, General Manager.  The new meeting spaces, ballrooms, lounges, and accommodations mean that guests will find it easier than ever to meet their every need, whether they be for business or pleasure.

THE NEWLY REINVENTED LOBBY

As part of Marriott's ongoing effort to meet the needs of today's travelers, the new renovations create a functionally organized lobby called "Skylight Lounge", complete with plug-in support and separated into zones which enable guests to work, relax, or socialize.

The Long Island Marriott's new lobby features a "Social Zone" with inviting, comfortable couches perfect for group meetings; the "Library Zone" with a quiet working environment suitable for the business traveler; and the "At Your Service Zone" to accommodate arrival and departure needs.

Along with the hotel's major renovations, changes in service were made as well.  Food and beverages will be sold throughout the day, starting with coffee and breakfast specialties.  In the evening, guests can enjoy a full-service bar and light food eatery.   Music and lighting will also change as the day-into-night services change.

THE BEAUTIFULLY RENOVATED MEETING SPACES
