Mainsail Suites renovated in Tampa, Fla.

Mainsail Lodging and Development's Mainsail Suites Hotel & Conference Center in Tampa, Fla., will be undergoing renovations. Originally a 360-room property, the property will soon transition to a total of 120 one- and two-bedroom suites. The conversion will include $1.5 million in interior upgrades to both its rooms, as well as to the hotel lobby.

Scheduled for completion in August, room renovations will include upgraded flooring throughout living rooms, bedrooms and bathrooms; new sofa sleeper and lounge chair in living rooms; white faux wood blinds throughout; new light fixtures in dining rooms; Simmons Beautyrest Euro Top mattress and box springs; upgraded bedding accessories; flat screen TV in all bedrooms; and new artwork throughout each unit.

Guest bathrooms will receive a complete overhaul, including new accessories in a brushed nickel finish; upgraded vanity marble countertops, lighting and mirrors; and grab bars in all tubs.

The hotel’s lobby area will receive fresh paint throughout and the guest check-in desk will be enhanced to include a stack stone backdrop and more modern signage.

 

The remaining 240 units will be converted to rental residences operating as Mainsail Apartment Homes.

Mainsail Suites Hotel & Conference Center is near a number of family attractions, national sporting venues, shopping areas, historic districts, golf courses, and Tampa’s downtown area and waterfront Convention Center. All suites have a private balcony or patio, a fully equipped kitchen, separate living and dining areas, full-bath amenities, high-speed Internet and flat screen TVs in bedrooms and living areas. Additional conveniences include complimentary shuttle transportation to the Tampa International Airport and within a three-mile radius of the property; outdoor free-form heated pool and Jacuzzi; fitness center; guest laundry facility; convenience and sundry store; free parking; dry cleaning/valet service; patio and barbecue area; and full-service Latitudes Pub & Grill for meals.

With more than 12,000 square feet of flexible indoor space, and 6,000 square feet of landscaped outdoor space, the property is able to accommodate meetings, conferences and special events for groups of up to 700. On-site catering and AV teams are also available to service all groups and events.

The property is owned and operated by Mainsail Lodging and Development.
