Marcel Wanders, Sebastian Knorr collaborate for Kameha Grand Zurich

Autograph Collection, Marriott International’s portfolio of independent hotels, launched the Kameha Grand Zurich. The 245-room hotel is set in the heart of Switzerland.

Interior designer Marcel Wanders and Sebastian Knorr, the managing director of tecArchitecture, worked on the property.

Wanders’ design concept for the hotel pays homage to Swiss culture. Eleven individually-themed suites include a Poker Face Suite fitted with roulette tables and Kameha poker cards, and a Serenity Suite appointed with yoga and wellness accessories.

Kameha Grand Zurich is one of the first newly constructed hotels to join the Autograph Collection, launching the brand’s presence in Switzerland.

In addition to the bedrooms and suites, Kameha Grand Zurich has two gourmet restaurants. L’Unico specializes in Italian cuisine, while Yu Nijyo showcases Japanese cuisine.

Puregold Bar takes its name from the gold palettes adorning the walls and is a location for daytime meetings and evening cocktails. Also available is the Cigar Lounge, as well as the Shisha Lounge that features a range of Arabic shisha and tobacco.

The Kameha Spa’s facilities include saunas, a steam room and relaxation beds in both the spa lounge and on the rooftop terrace.

Located near Zurich International Airport and Zurich Central Station, the hotel has six business suites for meetings, conferences and celebrations. Conference facilities hold up to 960 people, and have eight banqueting rooms and The Dome, an event area that stretches over 7,500 square feet.

Kameha Grand Zurich is surrounded by the Glattpark, which has forests, meadows and ponds covering more than 30 acres, Kameha jogging trails, beach volleyball, basketball and the “Kameha Lake,” Zurich’s largest freshwater lake.
