Marriott continues Middle East expansion, opens Marriott Marquis City Centre Doha Hotel

Marriott International’s signature business and leisure brand, Marriott Hotels, announced its continued expansion across the Middle East and Africa region with the opening of a new property in Doha’s West Bay district, where three hotels currently known as the Renaissance Hotel, Courtyard by Marriott and Marriott Executive Apartments Doha City Centre become one as a new Marriott Hotel opens.

The Marriott Marquis City Centre Doha Hotel is in line with Marriott Hotels’ new brand strategy. “Marquis” is a brand extension of the Marriott Hotels and JW Marriott Hotels brands.

The Marriott Marquis City Centre Doha Hotel has 580 guestrooms, 12,917 square feet of meeting space and views of the Doha skyline and Arabian Gulf.

The Marriott Marquis City Centre Doha Hotel is the first Marriott Marquis in the Middle East, and the first property located outside of the US. There are other Marriott Marquis properties located in New York, Atlanta, San Francisco, San Diego, Houston and Washington, D.C.
