Marriott International opens Renaissance Shanghai Caohejing

Marriott International has announced the opening of the 383-room Renaissance Shanghai Caohejing Hotel in Shanghai. The hotel is managed in partnership with Shanghai Caohejing Park Huagang Properties Ltd., and represents the sixth Renaissance-branded hotel to open the city. It is located in the Caohejing New Technology Development Zone in the Xuhui district.

Renaissance Hotels is the signature lifestyle brand within the Marriott International global portfolio of 17 hotel brands. It was acquired by Marriott International in 1997.

The Renaissance Shanghai Caohejing offers 383 Deluxe Rooms, Club Rooms and Suites, including the Presidential Suite. Rooms boast five-star amenities and technology. The area’s first international hotel, the Renaissance is said to balance a mix of traditional Chinese décor fused with a contemporary Western feel. The hotel’s interiors have elevated ceilings and expansive windows for plenty of natural light and a spacious environment. With 14 meeting room options of varying sizes including a divisible, pillar-free 570 square meter (6,135 square foot) Grand Ballroom, the hotel offers the setting for meetings and events.

Four destination restaurants and the hotel lounge are available, including: Sip & Savor, Wanli, Smoki Moto, and Café BLD.

The 24-hour fitness center is equipped with cardiovascular equipment, free weights, and an indoor swimming pool. Other amenities include steam room and sauna, and a TOUCH SPA with seven private treatment rooms.

Renaissance Hotels has more than 150 hotels in 35 countries worldwide.
